Is it true that when you do ur roots for your highlights ur hair gets lighter everytime?

if u keep up with the same color wen u highlight ur hair and do ur roots....does it really get lighter or does it look the same?Is it true that when you do ur roots for your highlights ur hair gets lighter everytime?
No, should be the same result if your using the same product. Just don't overlap it onto previously highlighted hair, that will cause those highlights to go lighter. Is it true that when you do ur roots for your highlights ur hair gets lighter everytime?
Well...... ok lets say you start off with brown hair and some blonde highlights and the roots start showing, so you have to get more and more and soon your hair turns all blonde!

no not if you know what your doing.
ONly if you put stronger bleach on your hair or leave it on for longer. Otherwise it shouldn't change drastically.
umm do you mean that when you go for touch ups for your hightlights...eventually your whole hair will be lighter? yes, alot of times that is what happens.. like i have dark brown hair but i started to put highlights in my hair and everytime i went to get it done i had more and more blonde highlights..and now i have to actually add some low lights to darken my hair...
It can.

If you had old color in your hair when you first highlighted it, the roots would have come up quicker then the ends. It's much faster to lighten on natural hair than previously colored hair.

Also, if when you do your highlights you streak the entire length of the hair instead of just the root area, you'll get more of a lighter overall effect. If you only like the amount of highlights you have now, be careful not to overlap and only do the regrowth.
