Is it true that shampoo is for ur roots and conditioner for the ends?

My mobile hairdresser said that its best to shampoo your roots and conditioner your ends, as she said that shampoo on your ends leaves them dry and conditioner on your roots does nothing for your hair, is this true?Is it true that shampoo is for ur roots and conditioner for the ends?
Shampoo is a detergent to make the dirt on your head mix with the water.

Conditioner is a 'fatty' ,substance made for untangling your hair.Is it true that shampoo is for ur roots and conditioner for the ends?
the problem is that hair is nothing but dead cells - the ends are the cells that have been dead for the longest period. Detergents (shampoos) take the last 'life' from them - the ends get drier and break. the roots on the other hand are close to the scalp, in the scalp there are fats produced.

=%26gt; you need to get rid of the fat at the roots, but you must feed the ends. Or, to answer you question: YES, shampoo is for roots, and conditioners are for the ends.
i dont know i know that conditionor softens your hair
Shampoo should be first smoothed onto your scalp. Then should be massaged onto your scalp. When the shampoo starts to foam rub the foam down through your hair. It wont make it dry.

Conditioner is different for everyone. If you find your hair is dry then apply conditioner to your scalp. If your hair is prone to grease then just condition from shoulders down.

Hope that helped
Yeah well thats what I believe, It all really depends on your hair, whether its oily or dry, and how much product you use,

I only use shampoo on my roots and conditioner on the ends,

It also helps to do it this way if you have problems with dandruff,

But I usually shampoo all over once a week and leave it in for a minute or two, because I use alot of product, but I only ever condition the ends, apart from right after dying my hair.
No. Shampoo cleans the dirt from all of your hair.

Conditioner protects %26amp; repairs damage to the whole length of your hair.
yes that's true!!!
OKAY..THIS IS HOW IT IS!!

shampoo is for all the hair from the root to the backs of your ears.

conditioner is for hair ';length'; which is hair from the ears down....make sense?

conditioning closer to the root than that will give you oily scalp and limp hair.
shampoo is to remove the oil...n dirt...whereas conditioners are used to soften, silken and untangle your hair....both of the products should b applied throughly..till the roots....to da ends..........................lol
I was told that shampoo opens the pore and cleans the hair and the conditioner closes it and conditions. Same with your face the cleanser opens the poor and cleans and the moisturizer closes and softens.
