Is it true that a root canal can get infected if no tooth restoration is performed?

how so ?Is it true that a root canal can get infected if no tooth restoration is performed?
A root canal treated tooth can get infected again if not the proper tooth restoration is placed after the treatment. Since a root canal treated tooth is already a weak structure (because the tooth is already dead, no blood supply), there is a tendency that the tooth will have a leak wherein saliva enters, or the worse, fracture of the tooth itself. So for the treatment to be successful, it will be much better to place a crown after, for it serves as a protection for the tooth and somehow doesn't direct the load or force to the weak tooth when we chew, thus avoiding any leak or fracture to happen. Is it true that a root canal can get infected if no tooth restoration is performed?
Certainly yes. Root canal treatment must be sealed immediately after its conclusion.

A few weeks could compromise an unrestored root canal treatment.

See you.
