Is ignorance the true root of all evil?

If everyone could just understand that everyone has their own unique experiences that make them who they are then maybe everyone wouldn't be so quick to judge and hurt others...Is ignorance the true root of all evil?
Evil is the choice of men who disregard the Law of Identity. This means simply that all things have identity, and first and foremost in the world of men is the sovereignty that America's Founders claimed was God-given ';unalienably'; to all men.

They must, then, disregard that part of the Identity of men. This is a necessity, that evil is the disregard of individual sovereignty, because the opposite act, that of having the utmost REGARD for Man's Identity, is the Constitution of the U.S. itself. Is ignorance the true root of all evil?
No. Although those who fomented the Inquisition were ignorant of the evil they committed in the name of God, during WW2 the Nazis were quite aware that they were committing evil acts, but that did not deter them. ';Good'; and :evil'; seem to be natural components of the human personality.
No ignorance is not the true root of evil.

Serial Killers knew of what they were doing and they knew who their victims were.

Ted Bundy was a genius but he murdered a lot of people. So ignorance is not the true root of evil.
No.

The root of all evil is power, authority and greed.

They have corrupted so many minds and killed some many people.
Your question answered itself. It is selfishness. Selflessness leads to godliness, selfishness leads to death.
Selfish apathy is the root of evil. Caring only about oneself and no one else.
In my estimation there is a clear link.
Quite a bit
